Lucy Ware, a former Western Pennsylvania Writing Project fellow, currently teaches gifted, talented students at Pittsburgh Dilworth Elementary School. Lucy is most passionate about continually sharing her strategies for enhanced learning with her peers. She has played an active role in the Western Pennsylvania Writing Project for over 25 years. Previously, she has been a facilitator the National Writing Project Directors Retreat, which provides renewal for site directors as they re-envision their writing project site. Additionally, she is a published writer in How Teachers Become Leaders and has written multiple pieces for the National Writing Project. In the community, Lucy is an active member of the Sparks fund, the Alpha Phi Alpha Women’s Auxiliary, and the missionary society at her local church.
